Employment-Based Immigration: EB-2 Visas
With an EB-2 visa, applicants and their families can secure permanent residency in the U.S., offering a pathway to long-term stability and success.
What are the different types of EB-2 Visas?
Advanced Degree (EB-2A)
- You must have a job offer that requires an advanced degree (Master’s or higher) or a Bachelor’s degree plus five years of progressive work experience in the field.
- Your U.S. employer must file Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker, on your behalf.
Exceptional Ability (EB-2B)
- You must demonstrate exceptional ability in sciences, arts, or business, meaning you possess a degree of expertise significantly above that ordinarily encountered in the field.
- Provide evidence of at least three: academic credentials, professional licenses, association memberships, work recognition, high salary, or field contributions.

National Interest Waiver (EB-2 NIW)
- You can self-petition for an EB-2 visa without a job offer if you can prove that your work is in the national interest of the U.S.
- You must show that your work has substantial merit and national importance, you are well-positioned to advance it, and it would benefit the U.S. to waive the job offer requirement.
