Attorney Consultation
Your online legal consultation (“consultation”) with Vasquez, Asker & Rojas Law Group, PLLC (hereinafter referred to as the “Firm”), is subject to the following terms and conditions:
There is a consultation fee of $49.00 required to book the consultation. We accept all major credit cards via our secure payment provider, LawPay. This fee will be credited to your case if we mutually agree to representation by our Firm. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you must contact us at least 24 hours before your appointment time. If you fail to do so, you will not receive a refund.
Before the consultation, you’ll receive an intake questionnaire requesting information about yourself and details of your case. The quality of the consultation largely depends on the accuracy of the information you provide. The more precise and reliable your responses, the more specific and helpful the consultation will be.
Our Firm may decline to provide a legal consultation if your inquiry falls outside our practice areas, involves an illegal action, or presents an ethical conflict. Additionally, we reserve the right to decline representation for any reason or no reason at all. Please be advised that the consulting attorney may also end the consultation at their discretion, without providing an explanation. Kindly note that consultations are not conducted via text messaging.
Limited attorney-client relationship
Requesting an online consultation establishes a limited attorney-client relationship, which concludes once the consultation is completed. This consultation does not create an ongoing attorney-client relationship under any circumstances. The limited relationship applies solely to providing advice specific to the questions asked during the consultation. Unless a written agreement, signed by one of the Firm’s attorneys, confirms representation, neither the consulting attorney nor the Firm will serve as your attorney-of-record in any current matter.
Formal engagement
To formally engage the Firm, you must request a written Legal Agreement, complete it by signing and initialing in the specified areas, and return it to the Firm via email or another electronic method. Once received, the Firm’s designated attorney will review and sign the Agreement, completing its execution. A copy of the fully executed Agreement will be provided to you, and the original will be retained in your file with the Firm. You will become a client, establishing a formal attorney-client relationship, only when the Agreement is fully executed and any required legal fee is paid. This relationship will continue until terminated by either party in accordance with the Agreement’s terms.
Deadlines
There may be instances where the law requires you to take action—such as filing an application, appeal, petition for review, or motion to reconsider or reopen—within a specific timeframe, or you risk permanently losing your right to pursue this or other benefits under the law. The Firm is not responsible for meeting any such deadlines unless formally engaged as described above.
Acknowledgment
Following an online consultation, neither our Firm nor the consulting attorney will take any action on your matter beyond the consultation. If, after the consultation, you wish to proceed with legal representation, please either formally engage our Firm as outlined above or retain another attorney of your choice.
By By requesting an online consultation, you confirm that you have read this form, affirm that its contents are accurate to the best of your knowledge, and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions outlined above.
